Protect the floor, then hand the room back
A gymnasium HVAC replacement is mostly a protection problem. The equipment sits at height, the sport floor underneath is the most expensive surface in the building, and the room has to come back ready to play on.
We paper and protect the deck before anything comes down, work off lifts instead of staging on the floor, and phase the work so the space returns in usable blocks rather than going dark for a season. Where the floor itself needs attention, we refinish or replace it inside the same scope instead of handing it to another trade and another schedule.
