Restoring the Tilt-Up Walls of Pentel of America

The Challenge

Pentel of America’s headquarters (a landmark mid-century building in Torrance) had developed extensive cracking across its white tilt-up concrete walls. Left alone, the cracks let water and air reach the reinforcing steel inside, accelerating corrosion and threatening the panels. The repair had to restore the structure and preserve the building’s clean, iconic white appearance.

Our Approach

KneppKraft mapped every crack across the building, then executed a full structural repair: epoxy crack injection under pressure to bond the concrete, sealant replacement, and repair of the vertical expansion joints, refinishing each panel to match. As a licensed General Engineering & Building contractor, we carried the whole scope on a fully occupied corporate campus.

The Result

The tilt-up panels were restored to structural integrity, sealed against water intrusion, refinished, and given a full exterior & interior re-paint so the walls look as crisp as the day they were poured, on a recognizable building, with minimal disruption to operations.
